| | This document contains the high level classification of subject areas and information classes consistent with FEA DRM guidance for categorizing agency data. Sources used to develop this Classification Scheme (i.e. taxonomy) include the DOI Business Reference Model, the DOI Strategic Plan, and various subject matter experts. This classification has gained the consensus of the Data Advisory Committee (DAC). It will be used to help discover data sharing opportunities, identify redundant data, and to facilitate data access. Subject Area: A collection of data classifications representing broad categories of information that support a line of business. Information Class: A logical grouping of entities that are subcategories of the subject areas. |
